Getting a library card at the Joshua Hyde Public Library gives you access to a wide range of materials like books, DVDs, video games, museum passes, hotspots, online courses, and more! Get a Card
It is FREE to start a library account. In order to obtain a library card, adult patrons and children 12 or older need to:
- present a valid ID (driver's license, student ID, or any postmarked item that has been received at their mailing address);
- indicate proof of their current mailing address;
- provide year of birth, telephone number and email address (if available).
Children under the age of 12 may obtain a card with their parent or legal guardian’s permission.

Sign up for an eCard online to access our digital resources. When you’re ready, stop by the library in person to upgrade your card to borrow physical items. Be sure to bring valid ID and proof of your current mailing address with you.
