Program Description

Event Details

Pop-Up Art School will teach kids ages 8+ about the French muralist Mantra, who paints giant trompe l'oeil insect shadow boxes on the sides of buildings around the world. The Art School will share images of the Harry C. Belcher Lepidoptera (butterfly & moth) Collection that's housed at Tufts Library, a scientific gem located right in our home state! Kids will then draw/paint their own realistic or imaginative insects and mount them in a paper shadow box.

Things to Know

Children must be accompanied by a caregiver.
