After our unfortunate closures due to a failed heating system, we’re so happy to finally be back in the library. We have some exciting events happening at the JHPL this new year that we can’t wait to share with you.
We are very excited to welcome Tess Gerritsen for our annual Stewing Over Mysteries event at the Publick House on March 11th at 6:15 pm. You probably know Tess Gerritsen from her series of novels featuring homicide detective Jane Rizzoli and medical examiner Maura Isles that inspired the hit TNT television series “Rizzoli & Isles,” starring Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander. She will also be talking about her latest books in the Martini Club Series.
Tickets are available online and at the front desk of the library. Books may be preordered at the library and picked up at the event, or purchased at the event. Ms. Gerritsen will sign the purchased copies.
We are also looking forward to our annual Pajama Drive– from February 9th to March 15th, Cradles to Crayons®, the Boston Bruins, Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, and Wonderfund are coming together to collect new pajamas for local children living in low-income and homeless situations. The most needed sizes for this season are 12-18 months, 18-24 months, and 18/20. Donate money or pajamas before February 25th and be entered into a raffle to win 4 tickets to the Friend’s Mini Golf Fundraiser. Please help us make this drive a success!
